New tool for marking weaves with errors in ArahWeave

New tool for marking weaves with errors in ArahWeave

We developed a special tool in ArahWeave’s Weave browser, which marks the weaves with errors with high probability.

The program assumes there’s errors on the weaves by  calculating the statistics of long floats: how many floats of one, floats of 2, floats of 3… for warp and for weft, face and back. If the program finds that the longest float is just one, then it is very likely that this is caused by an error in the weave. So we examine such weave, see if there really is an error or not. If there is an error we proceed to Floats function where we mark the long float, and fix the error on a weave.

How to use it?

STEP 1: Select error under Label and the program will display red and pink labels

with the number of floats on face and back for the weaves that don’t seem correct

STEP 2: In Weave edit window go to Edit > Floats and check for the long float

STEP 3: Mark long floats to see them on the weave

STEP 4: Fix the float
