New features in Arahne software

We issued a new short document containing a selection of new features developed throughout the last year, from January 2024 to January 2025. You will find new interesting functions in ArahWeave and ArahPaint software that will help you with your design and weaving processes.

ENGLISH:

To highlight just a few.

ArahWeave:

• In collaboration with Gemell we give you a complete new digital experience of fabric development. In ArahWeave you can export the fabric to Gemell’s FabricViewer that will render it in 3D, display it on a 3D model and export it in GLTF format.
• ArahWeave added 3 new digital collection of weaves, increasing the number of our weave database to around 54.000.
• we added new Filters in ArahWeave Browser to search fabrics by additional properties, such as Dobby and Empty dent
• the latest PANTONE FHI digital color card
• option to convert thread pattern to the pattern used in Italfabrics ERP system and vice versa

 

ArahPaint:

• we added tools for changing Angle and Zoom of the brushes interactively
• play with the new interactive Weave generator to create new interesting weaves
• use brush handles to move the brush on the precise position
• stitch tool now draws stitches a few pixels away from the motif’s border to avoid long floats and ensuring that the motif looks beautiful on the actual fabric
• drag and drop images and selections from ArahPaint to other software as a well as vice versa, and across multiple ArahPaint windows
